From the sun newspaper
Fearless actress Dannielle Brent asked her Bad Girls bosses for even more fight scenes in the new series - even though she broke her nose last year when a stunt went wrong.
The 26-year-old, who returns as evil Natalie Buxton in the 10-part jail drama tonight, is again in the thick of the action including a battle of the pregnant doges with actress Liz May Brice who plays rival con Pat Kerrigan.
It was during a scene with Liz that Dannielle suffered the injury and this time the pair spent three days filming one scene to ensure there would be no repeat of that accident.
Dannielle - who features in our great Superbabes slideshow below - explained: "I wanted to do more action stuff despite the broken nose and I wasn’t nervous about doing fight scenes again.
"We were super careful and had stunt doubles for the more dangerous parts like being thrown up and down stairs.
"We flinched when we watched the girls."
She added: "Even so, we still did a lot of the fighting ourselves and ended up with plenty of cuts and bruises.
"There were objects being thrown and if things had gone slightly wrong, someone could have been badly damaged.
"I got a bash on the head but didn’t feel it until afterwards as I was full of adrenaline."
Row on G Wing ... the Larkhall inmates protest
Co-star Liz, 30, still feels guilty about breaking Dannielle’s nose.
She said: "I was in tears, I felt terrible as I had only been in the show for two weeks.
"I went to hospital with her and when I found out her nose was broken I was beside myself.
"But Dannielle was such a good sport."
Dannielle joked: "I forgave Liz straight away but with a great big plaster on my nose I was worried people would think I’d had a nose job."
Squaring up ... it's Buxton v Kerrigan Round 2
Now in its eighth series, fans of Bad Girls can expect more of the same comedy drama from HMP Larkhall.
The latest run features former EastEnder Sid Owen, who played Ricky Butcher, as new prison officer Donny Kimber and James Bond star Colin Salmon as the prison doctor Rowan Dunlop.
Hollywood actress Amanda Donohoe also joins the cast as Larkhall's new Wing Guv'nor Louise Stoke, who is handed the keys to G Wing when current boss Neil Grayling (James Gaddas) is killed in a poison attack.
The action from that unfolds tonight when the wife of a suspected terrorist bomber is banged up with the Bad Girls and becomes chief suspect in his death.
The stunner - who shot to fame as Hollyoaks druggie Gina Patrick - revealed her character is set to become even nastier in future episodes.
She explained: "She is determined to claw her way back to the top and will do anything she can to get there. To her status means everything.
"This series Natalie becomes the prison's top drug dealer and tries to get certain girls hooked by giving them freebies until they become dependent.
"That's how she manages to keep them under her thumb and uses them to do her dirty work."
She added: "I think certain inmates are still scared of Natalie - but only because she is so unpredictable.
"She can be on your side one minute and flushing your head in the toilet the next."
And with such a bad reputation among the prisoners, Dannielle hints viewers could well see some payback for her character in the episodes to come.
She said: "Natalie’s reign of terror has lasted three years and she has done so much.
"She’s had tears, tantrums and fights, you couldn’t ask for a better character. The storylines have been fabulous.
“I always wanted to play someone manipulative like Rebecca De Mornay in Black Widow and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle and I got her with Natalie.
“The fans love her. I get tons of mail saying 'She’s so evil but we can’t help but love her'.
"When they see me in real life they can’t believe how small I am because Natalie wears four-inch heels all the time."
